Primary Purpose:

The Housing Operations Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Office of University Housing. This position will work under the supervision of the Building Manager and will assist with the day-to-day operational needs of University Housing. The position will work closely with University Housing staff and other campus partners to support the effective operation and maintenance of university residential facilities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Processes, reviews, and evaluates housing-related work orders and maintenance requests.
• Monitors work order activity and assists with appropriate follow-up and coordination with Facilities Management and University Housing staff.
• Assists the Housing Operations team with day-to-day operational needs and special projects.
• Performs general administrative duties, including data entry, recordkeeping, filing, document preparation, and other office support.
• Answers incoming telephone calls and assists with responding to departmental emails and inquiries.
• Provides courteous and professional customer service to students, university staff, and campus partners.
• Assists with tracking operational issues, requests, and projects as needed.
• Supports housing facility inspections, room readiness, opening/closing activities, and other operational initiatives as assigned.
• Communicates and coordinates with University Housing staff and campus partners regarding operational needs.
• Completes special projects and other Housing Operations-related duties as assigned or required.

• Ability to work collaboratively with University Housing staff, Facilities Management, and other campus partners.
