Heart And Lung Clinic RN
The Heart and Lung Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing exceptional care to patients with heart and pulmonary diseases in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Rooming patients and conducting initial assessments.
- Managing orders and refills as directed.
- Handling phone calls and patient inquiries.
- Administering anticoagulation therapy per Nurse Practitioner (NP) orders.
- Performing Electrocardiograms (EKGs) as needed.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current North Dakota State Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a similar specialty.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, specifically EPIC.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Work Schedule
This position is full-time, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no weekend or holiday requirements, and no on-call duties are expected.
Clinic Information
The clinic operates with 5 pods, each containing approximately 7 rooms, and serves an average of 100 patients daily with a team of around 18 providers. Patient care primarily focuses on adults with heart disease or pulmonary conditions.
Dress Code
Scrubs are required, and any color is acceptable.
Orientation And Training
New hires will undergo a one-day Epic training session and will receive additional support until they are comfortable with the clinic workflow.
Support Staff
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are utilized to assist within the clinic.
