Location: Spring, TX 77389 (Onsite) Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Overview The Personnel, Cargo, & Vessel Coordinator’s primary objective is to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient offshore supply by planning and managing short-term deepwater Oil & Gas supply vessel schedules and related cargo and personnel movements. They own, create, and maintain the marine/aviation schedule, and corresponding cargo movements, starting from a preliminary balanced plan and using judgment, expertise, and marine planning and optimization tools to develop the most efficient and practical schedules. When plans change, they collaborate with the Global Upstream Supply Chain Hub team, shore base teams, and other stake holders to recommend and implement adjustments, ensuring decisions are approved, documented, and accurately reflected in software systems that include SAP, KABAL (Manifesting and planning tool), DaWinci, HeliPass, and OneLogistics (POB planning tools). Responsibilities Short-term Marine Planning, Schedule Ownership, and Decision Making Convert a preliminary balanced plan into a detailed, executable set of sailing schedules and port plans by aligning demand with current capacity and other operational constraints Put safety first by ensuring any in-scope activities account for SSHE, regulatory, and safe operating standards Own and drive key planning and operational decisions, including determining sailing frequency, vessel and cargo allocations, personnel movements, accommodating vessel service requests, validating schedule suitability, adjusting schedules based on evolving constraints, identifying resource‑sharing opportunities, liaising with Marine Advisors to ensure timely completion of vessel regulatory requirements, and balancing operational decisions with cost efficiency. Apply operational judgment alongside company-provided optimization tools to challenge, refine, and publish finalized sailing schedules and port plans in Kabal Serve as a primary contact for a broad range of stakeholders (e.g., shorebase operators, third‑party vendors, business unit stakeholders), addressing questions, providing context on decisions, and confirming stakeholder readiness prior to schedule publication Keep schedule and actual operations aligned by updating schedules when vessel status, cargo readiness, or other key assumptions change, initiating re‑optimization as needed to maintain a feasible and efficient schedule During piloting stage conduct user acceptance testing and provide feedback on processes and tools. Support During Live Operations Monitor live operations, including vessel arrival and departure times, vessel availability, port plan execution and personnel movements (e.g., loading/unloading progress, tank cleaning, vessel maintenance), infield activity progression, and proactively identify emerging issues or conflicts Collaborate with the Global Upstream Supply Chain Hub team, shorebase, third‑party vendors, and regional contacts to confirm adherence to the plan, resolve clashes and agree on practical adjustments Continuously assess operational risks, including vessel/aviation/port issues, weather, tides, currents, port congestion, asset constraints, and cargo and personnel readiness, and proactively develop mitigation scenarios Schedule Deviation Management and Issue Resolution Anticipate, assess, and action break‑in requests and resulting capacity constraints by developing scenarios and clear recommendations to resolve conflicts while evaluating trade‑offs, cost / service impacts, and end‑to‑end operational implications Ensure cross‑functional alignment (which could be up to 10 stakeholders) in accordance with deviation protocols, with clear communication to execution teams Execute approved changes through direct coordination with stakeholders and system updates, ensuring all relevant parties are informed Record and communicate significant deviations from the schedule for incorporation into future planning cycles and performance reviews Stakeholder Engagement and Knowledge Sharing Create and present cargo allocation and routing scenarios and perspectives on trade‑offs in instances of churn or busts, during monthly planning sessions Liaise with integrated schedule owner to ensure critical marine logistics requirements are met Maintain strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders, including Global Upstream Supply Chain Hub team members, regional shorebase teams, marine advisors, aviation team, third‑party vendors, and departments such as Drilling, Wells, Maintenance, Subsea, and Projects Continuous Improvement and Ad‑Hoc Support Ensure vessel schedules and port plans, manifests, and actual vessel movements are accurately maintained in Kabal and related planning and optimization tools Monitor marine and aviation core Supply Chain KPIs and operational dashboards to interpret performance trends, support data‑driven schedule decisions, and provide input to the Process Management & Analytics team on performance monitoring Support team members within the Global Upstream Supply Chain by providing input on coverage strategies, logistics and optimization tool enhancements, and other critical initiatives Share and solicit feedback on recurring issues and practical ideas to improve planning quality, schedule stability, bottleneck mitigation, and effective use of planning and optimization tools Regional Coverage Operate across multiple regions with varying regulations, time zones, and operational constraints, requiring high adaptability Able to travel to Africa and India for business trips Transitional Process Enablement and Knowledge Transfer Act as an expert advisor, using deep cargo / vessel logistics experience to support refinement of SOPs, workflows, process controls, and decision criteria Support solution engineering and user acceptance testing for company-provided planning, optimization, and execution tools by validating workflow logic, data inputs, outputs, handoffs, exception handling, and usability against real operating conditions Co‑develop training materials, job descriptions, playbooks, and process walkthroughs for future resources, ensuring steps, decision rights, escalation paths, regional differences, and exceptions are clearly documented Train and coach incoming resources through shadowing, hands‑on demonstrations, and real‑time guidance on processes and systems Capture practical knowledge, lessons learned, tool gaps, SOP improvement needs, and transition risks in a structured handover log to support sustainable transfer to permanent resources Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; marine operations, marine engineering, or equivalent maritime background preferred; Business‑level English fluency (written/verbal) is required 5+ years of experience in infield logistics or cargo and vessel coordination roles, ideally in deepwater Oil & Gas and across multiple vessel types (e.g., MFPSV, PSV, AHTS, IMR, FSV, tugs) Required experience with deepwater drilling operations Exposure to marine service requirements beyond cargo movement (e.g., passenger movements, tanker connect/disconnect operations, subsea operations, environmental audits, etc.) Familiarity with warehouse and shorebase operations, including materials picking, staging, containerization, and shipment (e.g., trucking); exposure to crane operations is preferred Willingness to work within a 24/7 coverage model (e.g., 7‑days on, 7‑days off; 12‑hour shifts), with overtime as required, and to travel internationally Experience with vessel planning and execution systems including optimization and scenario‑based planning tools Strong cost / commercial awareness, with ability to evaluate vessel day rates, fuel use, third‑party service costs, utilization impacts, and service‑level trade‑offs Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within cross‑regional, cross‑cultural teams Strong critical thinking and ability to question assumptions, evaluate trade‑offs, and prioritize integrated business objectives over siloed targets Strong situational awareness and attention to operational details; Structured problem‑solving skills and comfort balancing competing priorities Proven experience working with diverse stakeholders with conflicting or overlapping priorities to resolve live operational issues and schedule changes Clear, concise communication under time pressure, including radio/phone coordination with operational teams Willingness and aptitude to coach others on marine scheduling processes and systems Previous exposure or experience with ExxonMobil Deepwater businesses is considered an asset Looking for meaningful work?
