Join one of Ohio's premier academic medical centers for a 16-week travel assignment in a high-acuity Medical Oncology Progressive Care Unit!

Position Details

• Location: Columbus, OH
• Facility: Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
• Specialty: PCU (Medical Oncology)
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Contract Length: 16 Weeks
• Shift: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 Hours/Week

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current acute care RN experience
• At least 1 year of PCU experience
• Active experience within the last 12 months required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required

Unit Highlights

• Medical Oncology Progressive Care Unit
• Care for patients with solid tumors, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses
• High-acuity PCU environment with telemetry
• Nurse-to-patient ratio:
  • PCU: 1:3
  • Med/Surg Tele: 1:4–5
• Floating required to equivalent PCU or Med/Surg Oncology units

Skills Needed

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Blood product administration
• Central line, PICC, and IV management
• Heparin protocols
• Cardiac drips
• Tracheostomy care
• BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula
• Chest tube management
• Rapid Response experience
