Accounting Supervisor IIIWhat starts with YOU, moves the world!Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Accounting Supervisor III based at our Berea, KY facility.What You Will Do:Lead and oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.Monitor and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and support compliance initiatives.Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide recommendations and explanations to management.Support the development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-range financial planning activities.Coordinate accounting and reporting activities across multiple locations within the Americas Division.Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members while managing workload priorities and performance.Champion process improvement efforts that increase efficiency, enhance reporting quality, and ensure compliance with internal control requirements.Who You Are:A detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and continuous improvement.An effective leader who enjoys developing others and fostering a collaborative team environment.A strong analytical thinker who can interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.A proactive problem solver who identifies opportunities to improve processes and controls.A trusted business partner who communicates effectively across all levels of the organization.A results-driven professional who thrives in a deadline-oriented environment.What You Will Need – Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.Master's degree in Accounting (MSA) preferred.CPA, CMA, and/or MBA certification preferred.Skills Experience & Abilities:Financial reporting and analysisAccount reconciliation and month-end close processesKnowledge of GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirementsAdvanced Microsoft Excel proficiencyStrong communication and presentation skillsLeadership, coaching, and employee developmentProcess improvement and internal controls expertiseFinancial planning, forecasting, and budgetingMinimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.Experience supervising or leading accounting professionals preferred.Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and reports.Experience analyzing financial results and communicating findings to management.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.Experience working with confidential financial information.Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, vendors, banks, and customers.Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5–6%).Who we are:Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks, aftermarket parts and technology and energy solutions that are transforming the way the world moves materials from Port to Home.
