Join our team and start your journey today!As a highly valued member of the Forney TX Team , this position is responsible for ensuring that all inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and timely.AS A DOCK LEAD, YOU WILL:Provide daily/weekly balancing of skilled labor across the shipping departmentOversee material handlers in achieving department and site performance objectives that include safety, cost, service, quality, and efficiencyConvey relevant information to Supervisors, Manager and other employeesAssist management by driving continuous improvement activities within the shipping departmentCreate written and oral instructions that are needed in the shipping areaEnsure understanding of company KPIs and take actions to meet themOther duties/projects as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Shipping background is requiredMust be able to develop an in-depth knowledge of Manhattan (WMS), and knowledge should be extensive enough to train othersGood computer skillsExcellent communication skillsLegal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Excellent communication skills in English / SpanishKnowledge of ISO QMSKnowledge of Manhattan WMSOur Commitment to Our PeopleAcross the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
