An exciting opportunity is open for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to make a lasting difference in a school-based setting near Papillion, NE. This contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal or a permanent role. The position supports students in grades 6-12 who require behavioral interventions that surpass district resources but do not qualify for clinical care. The unique environment operates in partnership with the district and emphasizes collaborative, continuum-based care—not isolation.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Current BCBA certification required (not RBT-eligible for unrestricted hours).
• Experience working with adolescents or young adults with significant behavioral needs.
• Demonstrated skill with functional behavior assessments and designing crisis intervention plans.
• Leadership abilities to support and coach teams of RBTs, paras, aides, and teachers.
• Comfort navigating challenging environments—including aggressive behaviors, eloping, and incidents of severe disruption.
• Knowledge of individualized positive behavior support planning.
• Strong communication skills to provide effective training, consultation, and leadership.

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct behavioral assessments and develop tailored intervention and crisis plans.
• Lead and mentor a large team—including RBTs, paraprofessionals, and teachers.
• Provide hands-on training for staff working with older students exhibiting extreme behaviors.
• Support functional understanding of challenging behaviors to promote safety and learning.
• Coordinate with district and cooperative partners to implement a cohesive approach.
• Focus on behavioral supports while academic instruction is managed by other specialists.
