Inside Sales Coordinator

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Job Summary

We are seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator to support our sales organization by managing customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs), analyzing customer requirements, preparing accurate quotations, and coordinating pricing and delivery information for SWS component products.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, Sales teams, and internal departments. Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer RFQs and quotation requests received through customer emails and other communication channels in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review customer requirements and identify key information and relationships needed to complete each RFQ.
• Prepare pricing calculations and provide accurate pricing and delivery information for quotations.
• Coordinate with customer accounts and internal teams to ensure RFQs are completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Communicate daily with Tier-level Sales teams and OEM Account Managers regarding RFQs, pricing, and related components.
• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal departments to ensure prompt and accurate customer support.
• Review account pricing regularly to ensure pricing accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assist the Customer Service and Sales teams with sales forecasting and related reporting.
• Support New Program Launches by setting up new part numbers in internal systems and assisting with prototype and production part-number quotations.
• Maintain accurate customer, pricing, quotation, and product information within company systems.
• Support cross-functional activities related to new programs, customer requirements, and product launches.
• Meet established deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the Sales organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience , preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Experience with RFQs, quotations, pricing, customer service, sales support, or similar activities preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with EDI systems .
• Experience with release management or web-based supply-chain management systems.
• Experience working with OEM or Tier automotive customers .
• Knowledge of automotive components, quoting processes, or customer account management.
• Strong negotiation and customer-service skills.

Communication & Reasoning Skills

• Ability to analyze and interpret data, customer requirements, schedules, instructions, and other business information.
• Ability to prepare and communicate business proposals and pricing information accurately.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional and technical business information.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence and effectively communicate information to managers, customers, suppliers, and other business contacts.
• Strong negotiation, follow-up, and relationship-management skills.
