Agricultural Credit Analyst - VA, TN or NC

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an

Agricultural

Credit Analyst

to be located in either Virginia (Staunton - Harrisonburg - Wytheville - Abingdon), Tennessee (Kingsport - Bristol - Morristown) or North Carolina (Wilson - Lillington - Clinton) to support the bank’s agricultural lending activities and to contribute to the overall credit quality of the bank. The Agricultural Credit Analyst will analyze a wide variety of financial and credit information, including personal and business financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, personal financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, accountant-prepared financial statements, and other relevant documentation. The Credit Analyst will also be responsible for providing complete, accurate and objective written reports presenting all financial information and summarizing the strengths and weaknesses of agricultural loan requests for use in the making of lending decisions.

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Agricultural, Business and/or Economics is required. Previous experience in agricultural lending, credit analyst, financial analysis or financial services is preferred. The candidate must possess strong financial analysis and accounting skills, strong critical thinking skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, be well organized, and be able to work in a team environment. The candidate must also have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. BENEFITS FOR FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES: PTO Leave is 20 Days per year earned monthly.
