As a Senior Estimator at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will have the opportunity to work on unique and exciting U.S Federal Government construction projects.Description:Manage the estimating process for single and multiple award federal projects both domestic and internationalReview project Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for accuracy and completenessManage internal RFP document distribution to discipline estimators and managementPrepare Project Information documents incorporating all important solicitation informationReview RFP drawings, specifications and subcontractor proposals to develop federally compliant estimates for cost and timeManage scope of work assignments with project estimatorsManage questions and answer process with project ownerCoordinate and/ or attend pre-bid site visits, as requiredManage and coordinate development and distribution of preliminary design information working with design team on Design-Build solicitationsManage and lead meetingsEvaluate and analyze subcontractor/vendor proposals with Estimators to ensure accuracy in scope (quantities, schedule, inclusions, exclusions, etc.)Develop potential subcontractor partners, including documenting compliance with Small Business requirements Prepare General Requirement and Direct Cost price proposal documents for Management review and approvalExecute turnover of awarded projects to Operations Team, including assisting in procurementDevelopment of Cost Code, Schedule of Values and Budget Breakdowns for awarded projectsSkills:Ability to work independently and with multiple team members to accomplish a common goalAbility to understand and interpret construction documents including drawings, specifications and RFP general requirementsGood interpersonal and communication skills both written and oralStrong sense of professional ethicsAbility to work on multiple projects at the same timeStrong organizational and analytical skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word primarily) Working knowledge of On-Screen take-off software or similar Working knowledge of estimating software - Experience with Sage Estimating (Timberline) a plusExperience:10+ years of experience in the construction industry with an emphasis on estimatingBS in Engineering or Construction Management desiredDemonstrated longevity of service, at the same company for a of minimum of 3 years Experience as the lead on project estimates/ proposalsExperience in fixed prices, design-building, and/ or self-perform estimating a plusExperience with government project estimating a plusExperience training/mentoring junior staff a plusAdditional Information:Relocation benefits may be considered for strong candidatesCompetitive Compensation and Health and Welfare BenefitsGrowth opportunities within large estimating department Perini Management Services builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
