As a Estimator at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will have the opportunity to work on unique and exciting U.S Federal Government construction projects.Description:Review project solicitation documents for accuracy and completeness and develop questions as they relate to assigned scope of workSolicit subcontractor/vendor quotations, prepare and distribute bid document packages, respond to inquiries, being knowledgeable of respective scopes of work and responsibilitiesDevelop scope of work packages to define project work requirements through narratives, checklists, and quantity take-offEvaluate and analyze subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure accuracy in scope. (Quantities, schedule, inclusions, exclusions, etc.)Prepare subcontractors/vendors price analysis sheetsCoordinate with design team, on design-build RFP’s, to support development of proposalsSkills:Ability to work independently and in a team environment with multiple projects at the same timeAbility to understand construction documents and develop scopes of workGood interpersonal and communication skills both written and oralStrong organizational and analytical skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word primarily)Working knowledge of On-Screen take-off software or similar a plusWorking knowledge of estimating software - Sage Estimating (Timberline) experience a plusExperience:4 + years of experience in the construction industryBS in Engineering or Construction Management desiredExperience in fixed price, design-build, and/ or self-perform construction estimating a plusExperience with Government projects a plusAdditional Information:Relocation benefits may be considered for strong candidatesCompetitive Compensation and Health and Welfare BenefitsGrowth opportunities within large estimating departmentPerini Management Services builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
