Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is hiring an Advanced Systems Engineer to support our Anthem Next Generation Avionics program. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage highly complex aviation systems that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across next‑generation flight technologies.

You will join our Flight Management System team, working on cutting‑edge avionics solutions in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Partnering with experienced systems and software engineers, you will define and develop software requirements, support functional load deliveries, and ensure compliance with certification standards, all while helping shape the future of flight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Avionics or embedded Systems development and requirement definition.

• Support the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components.

• Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects.

• Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.

• Lead the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally.

• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational.

• Test and Integration on test benches in labs

• System Verification and Validation

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.

• 3 or more years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership within Flight Management or Flight Guidance systems.

• 3 or more years of experience establishing technical expertise in advanced systems engineering, including system integration, implementation, troubleshooting, and use of project management tools and methodologies.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

• Advanced Engineering degrees such as MS in Aerospace Engineering.

• Experience in leading complex system integration projects.

• Knowledge of software configuration and change management practices with DOORS NG and Atlassian tools

• Experience with Agile development processes

• Diverse and global teaming and collaboration experience

• Effective and proactive communication

• Business oriented approach to software development

• Strong understanding of DO-178B/C

• Strong understanding of ARP-4754

• Verification test plan experience

• ARINC 429 and signal debug capability

• Analytical skills & software development skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
