Student Assistant - Information Technology Support (Hybrid)

Base Pay $16.9 - $23.91 / Hour Job Category Part-time, Off-campus , FI$Cal Employee Type Student Assistant Required Degree High school Manage Others No The Financial Management System for California (FI$Cal) is seeking to hire two (2) student assistants to support the Information technology division of the FI$Cal system, a billion-dollar statewide project. This position is a supporting role in the Information Technology Division. The desired candidates must be comfortable working in an Information Technology setting. Responsibilities Assist IT staff to develop or update system documentation and standard operating procedures. Analyze data using Excel or other tools to create graphs and presentations. Help configure or set up internal tools. Assist IT support team with routine ticket resolution. Participate in IT project tasks such as data reconciliation, documentation, research, analysis, training, and business support activities. Develop and update reports, plans, and process documentation. Minimum Qualifications Excellent communication and writing skills. Quick learner who can think outside the box. Creative, organized and detail oriented. Responsible, dependable with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work well with others, including high-level executives, staff, and peers. Motivated, innovative, and takes initiative. Able to facilitate small to medium-sized meetings. Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications State agencies may give preference to applicants who are dependent child in foster care, homeless youth, formerly incarcerated youth, or victim of human trafficking under Government Code section 18220, up to 26 years old.
