Leelyn Smith is an independent registered investment advisory firm headquartered in Geneva, Illinois. We serve high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth families through an integrated model spanning wealth management, tax, and family office services. Our team of roughly 40 professionals is built deliberately around deep, long-tenured client relationships rather than volume. THE OPPORTUNITY We are hiring an experienced Relationship Manager to own the client experience for some of our most substantial family relationships, including ultra-high-net-worth households with complex, multi-entity financial lives. This is a senior client service seat — not an entry-level support role. You will run the service side of these relationships: the meeting cadence, the follow-through, the coordination across our wealth management and tax teams, and the hundreds of details that make a family feel genuinely taken care of. Relationship Manager is a defined tier on a published career path at Leelyn Smith. RMs who demonstrate household ownership can advance to Client Advisor — owning assigned client households — and, with credentials and licensing, toward Wealth Advisor. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Serve as the primary service contact for an assigned group of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client families Run the meeting rhythm end to end: scheduling cadence, agenda preparation, pre-meeting briefings for advisors, and disciplined post-meeting follow-through Execute account operations with precision: new accounts, transfers, money movement, distributions (including RMDs), beneficiary and account maintenance, and e-signature workflows Coordinate deliverables across wealth management, tax, and family office teams so clients experience one firm, not three departments Anticipate client needs and drive proactive outreach rather than waiting for the phone to ring Maintain rigorous CRM and workflow hygiene; help refine service processes and standards as the firm grows Mentor client service specialists and raise the bar for the service organization Handle sensitive family and financial matters with absolute discretion WHAT YOU BRING 5+ years of client service experience in wealth management (RIA, broker-dealer, bank or trust company, or family office) Direct experience serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families strongly preferred Fluency with custodial and advisory platforms — LPL ClientWorks is a plus; Schwab, Fidelity, or similar custodial experience translates well Polished, warm, professional communication — you will sit in front of our most important clients An ownership mentality: you notice what needs doing, and it gets done Bachelor's degree required Series 65 license required — this seat sits on the path to Client Advisor, and the license is the ticket to that next step COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary Range: $60,000-$100,000, including a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, a retirement plan with employer contributions, paid time off and holidays, and support for professional development and credentialing opportunities.
