What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator, you'll be a key contributor to daily production operations by:

• Operating grinder, shaker, and other production equipment to process recycled rubber materials
• Monitoring machine performance and product flow to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met
• Performing quality inspections on raw materials and finished products
• Loading raw materials and keeping equipment supplied throughout the shift
• Safely lifting and handling materials, including 50 lb. bags
• Assisting with machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
• Following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout practices
• Becoming certified to operate a sit-down forklift and supporting material movement throughout the facility
• Assisting with staging, loading, and transportation of materials as needed
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborating with teammates to meet production goals and changing operational demands

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• 1+ year of manufacturing or production experience
• Previous machine operation experience in an industrial setting
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work safely around machinery and mobile equipment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Sit-down forklift experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as skid loaders, wheel loaders, backhoes, or industrial forklifts
• Machine setup and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures
• Overhead crane operation experience
• Willingness to cross-train and learn multiple responsibilities within the department

Work Environment

This is a highly active manufacturing role where you'll spend your shift on your feet, working alongside a hardworking team in a fast-paced production environment. The RT Department includes operating machinery, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and exposure to recycled rubber materials. The area can be noisy, dusty, and have a noticeable rubber odor.

Successful candidates are comfortable in an industrial environment, prioritize safety, enjoy hands-on work, and are energized by a team-oriented atmosphere where no two days are exactly alike.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of YORK, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
