Role and Responsibilities GIS support professional to assist the clients GIS program with maintaining GIS data, supporting GIS applications, and performing routine GIS maintenance activities in support of the Department's GIS infrastructure and technology initiatives. Editing, maintaining, and validating GIS datasets. Performing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on spatial and attribute data. Assisting with data cleanup, standardization, and documentation. Updating web maps, feature services, and existing GIS applications. Assisting with testing GIS applications following software updates or configuration changes. Supporting routine GIS maintenance activities and special GIS projects as assigned. Assisting with GIS data preparation, map production, and spatial analysis for public safety operations. Accurate and timely updates to GIS datasets. Completed QA/QC of assigned GIS data. Updated web maps and GIS content. Documentation of completed work and procedures. Support for GIS application testing and maintenance. Contractor will work alongside County GIS staff and document completed work to support knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.
