Accountant

Our client, a global entertainment and media company, is seeking an Accountant for an onsite contract opportunity in Hollywood. This role is responsible for core accounting activities supporting licensing agreements, revenue recognition, month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support. The position requires 3-5 years of accounting experience, a strong understanding of debits and credits, and hands-on experience with reconciliations and large data sets. Role Overview: Contract Duration: 5-6 months Pay rate range: $50-56/hr W2 (No C2C or 1099) Scheduled: Fully onsite M-F, 9AM to 6PM Responsibilities Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, including revenue recognition, trial balance reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Analyze licensing agreements and contract terms to ensure accurate financial reporting, fee calculations, and revenue tracking. Prepare financial analyses including forecast-to-actual reporting, foreign exchange variance analysis, bad debt reviews, and present value reporting. Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with SOX and other key accounting controls. Perform ad hoc reporting, revenue share tracking, and intercompany financial analysis. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or progress towards the certification is a plus 3-5 years of accounting experience with strong reconciliation and high-volume data analysis experience required. Solid understanding of general accounting principles, including debits, credits, journal entries, and financial close processes. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Oracle Fusion preferred, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Prior entertainment industry experience preferred.
