Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

• Work with a patient population consisting mostly of geriatrics and adults, with some pediatric patients in the ED
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CRT or RRT
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Perform vent management, CPAP, BiPap, nebulizer treatments, A-line placement, intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs
• Operate AVEA vents, Servo U vents, LPU 1200 vents, parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport
• Chart using EPIC and utilize Pyxis medication system
• Float within the hospital to all units as needed
• Orientation consists of at least one shift to learn workflow
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• On-call requirements vary
• Cannot work more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Scrub color: Any - no camo or denim
• Free parking available

This facility is a large 933-bed hospital designated as a Level III Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. It holds Magnet Designation, reflecting its commitment to nursing excellence and high standards of patient care. The facility also features a Level III NICU, offering specialized care across a wide range of patient populations and medical specialties.
