Summary About the Position: This position is located at Fort Hood, Texas . This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. - Independently formulate full treatment plans based on sound evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current and/ or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
- Perform emergency services or crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary.
- Serve as member of the professional medical staff and provide advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and/ or boards.
- Develop medical policy, guidance, and standard of care determinations within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Attend or participate in health care conferences as requested.
- This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- Additional requirements may be determined as positions arise and will be communicated during the hiring process if you are selected.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees may be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- A pre-placement medical examination may be required.
- Immunization screening may be required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- May be required to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- Tier 1: $124,308 - $315,000
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
- Advance leave accrual may be authorized.
- Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
- Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
