Travel Nursing Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650 Specialty: Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Unit: Geriatric Psychiatry Location: Cleveland, Ohio 44113 Schedule: 3 shifts per week Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Hours: 36 hours per week Start Date: October 23, 2026 Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending January 22, 2027 Setting: On-site, short-term acute care hospital behavioral health unit Psychiatric RN Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact RN license in hand at the time of submission At least 1 year of recent permanent behavioral health nursing experience, preferably in a short-term acute care hospital setting Experience caring for geriatric psychiatric patients is strongly preferred Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Demonstrated experience with milieu management, medication management, patient assessments, therapeutic communication, and clinical documentation One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty Required licenses and certifications must be active and available at the time of submission Successful completion of required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety testing Ability to complete required background screening, health screening, and facility orientation requirements Psychiatric Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to geriatric patients experiencing behavioral health conditions Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor changes in patient condition Administer medications safely and evaluate patient responses to treatment Support a therapeutic, structured, and safe patient milieu Use de-escalation, therapeutic communication, and crisis-intervention techniques as appropriate Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards Provide patient and family education related to treatment, medications, safety, and discharge planning Participate in unit activities, handoff communication, and ongoing quality and safety initiatives Why Choose This Cleveland Travel Nursing Opportunity?
