Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, NG tubes, ostomy care, drains, wound care, continuous bladder irrigation, tube feeds, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: - Patient population/common diagnoses include small bowel obstructions; general surgery cases including colectomy, colon/small bowel resections, nephrectomy, hysterectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, splenectomy, thyroidectomy; kidney stones; pneumothorax; bariatric surgery; rib fractures; hip fractures; joint replacements; and cellulitis. - RN ratios: 1:4-6; surge times could be 1:7-8. - Uses BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Masimo monitors, and remote telemetry. - Free Parking

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Float within Region 1 and scope of practice, including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH (peds only)), as needed.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
