Accountant - Law Firm

Our client, a prominent Nassau County law firm, seeks an experienced and detail‑oriented accounting professional to support its internal financial operations. This is a key role for a hands‑on accountant who is comfortable managing day‑to‑day accounting functions while also operating at a higher, strategic level. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of accounting experience with strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel and either be currently serving as a Controller or have the demonstrated ability to grow into that role. Responsibilities include bookkeeping and financial reporting, data analysis and budgeting, bank account and cash‑flow management, and close collaboration with firm leadership and team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial projects. The role may also involve assisting with tax return preparation as needed. This position is primarily on‑site in Nassau County.
