Own the Night Shift: Keep Our Schaumburg Lines RunningStep into our Schaumburg baking/manufacturing plant and take charge of equipment health from dusk to dawn. You’ll be the first call when something stops, the steady hand that prevents it from happening again, and the teammate who keeps production humming safely and efficiently.Schedule & PaySchedule: Nights, 7:00pm–7:00am, continental rotation (2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 3 off)Pay: $33.50/hr – $41.50/hrTool Allowance: $500A Night in This RoleYou arrive ready to scan the floor, review open work orders on your tablet, and prioritize the night’s plan. A line alarms: you triage, lock out as needed, zero in on the fault, swap a component, and fine-tune settings to bring the machine back up safely. Between calls, you execute scheduled PMs, inspecting conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics to catch issues before they grow. You update supervisors and operators on status, lend a hand to teammates, coach a production tech on basic checks, and close out each work order with thorough notes—on time.What You’ll DoRespond rapidly to breakdowns on the plant floor; restore equipment safely and efficiently.Fault-find and repair electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic plumbing issues.Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime.Complete and document assigned work orders within allotted time using a tablet.Communicate clearly with operators, leads, and supervisors on scope and urgency.Work independently or as part of a crew; support contractors when needed.Share knowledge—train production staff and fellow mechanics, and be open to learning from others.Pitch in on special projects and additional duties as assigned.What You’ll BringHigh School Diploma or equivalent.At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.Strong electrical aptitude and the ability to read/interpret schematics and blueprints.Working knowledge across maintenance disciplines: electrical systems, plumbing, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes.Proficiency with hand and power tools, drill presses, and common shop equipment—used safely.Effective verbal and written communication; able to read and interpret documents in English.Work Environment & Physical DemandsOperational baking/manufacturing environment with hazards typical of industrial machinery.Comfort working in hot, high ambient temperatures.Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing; ability to stand for the entire shift.Regular sitting/standing/stooping and fine hand motor coordination.Tasks may involve standing, lifting, pulling, and climbing on machinery or tooling.Ability to move up and down stairways in a multi-level plant to access work areas.Lift up to 50 lbs, including stacking, unstacking, and carrying materials.Stand and/or stoop for extended periods in a hot environment.Willingness to work weekends and/or overtime as required.Commitment to a continuous improvement, team-based culture and frequent use of varied communication methods (radio, email, chat, face-to-face). #J-18808-Ljbffr
