Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel Assignment) Fusion Medical Staffing - Cath Lab is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 10‑week travel assignment in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Details Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 05/25/2026 Duration: 10 weeks Hours per week: 40 Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification Other certifications or licenses that may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures Manage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guidewires, and contrast agents Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical abilities: remains in a stationary position, moves equipment (50–100lbs), pushes, pulls, and bends Interpersonal skills: works effectively with a variety of personnel to maintain a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/motor skills: grasps, performs fine manipulation, and assists with procedures and department equipment Mental requirements: handles frequent public interaction, meets deadlines under pressure, works with occasional supervision, and maintains concentration during irregular activity schedules Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
