Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $2,912 per week

Overview TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Phoenix, Arizona. The position is 40 hours per week, with 10‑hour days, and the employment type is travel. Responsibilities As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for operating fluoroscopic equipment, assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures, preparing and observing patients, and reporting abnormalities. Tasks Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required. Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor patient during all procedures. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to assure adequate safeguards for patient and operator exposure. Apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy, including major and minor systems, to interpret examination requests accurately. Operate intravenous (IV) and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience. Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification; state‑specific licensing as required. Vascular Interventional certificate preferred. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
