The Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day triage of the pediatric team activities of maintaining compliance and quality for pediatric patients, assuring timely admissions, assigning patients to the appropriate team members and monitoring patient care as ordered on the interdisciplinary plan of care. The Clinical Manager conducts the IDT meetings and supervises and supports clinical staff through evaluation and field supervisory visits and assures ongoing development of the teams' clinical skills. The Clinical Manager will assure quality care and compliance with state and federal regulations, CHAP accreditation standards, and the organization's policies and procedures.

Experience Requirements: The Pediatric Clinical Manager must have at least one year of Hospice/Home Health experience. A minimum of two years of leadership experience preferred, at least four years of medical surgical or oncology preferred, and must have a minimum of two years of pediatric clinical experience.

Education Requirements: The Pediatric Clinical Manager must have at least a RN from a NLN accredited nursing program. A BSN is preferred.

Required Certificates and/or Licenses: The Pediatric Clinical Manager must have nursing licensure from all three jurisdictions for medical practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia or within 6 months of hire into the role. The Pediatric Clinical Manager must also have valid Pediatric BLS/CPR Training.

Technological Skills: The ability to learn and efficiently use patient health information systems and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet browsers.

Reasoning Ability: The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee would normally encounter while performing the essential functions of this job in an office. The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate. The environmental conditions are that of what is to be expected in a temperature-controlled building. Occasionally required to drive to alternate work locations.

Compensation Pay Range: $96,103.54 - $143,040.51

This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
