Position Summary Munro is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and people-focused Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist to support recruiting and Human Resources activities across both Munro & Associates (Commercial) and Munro Defense . The primary focus of this position is talent acquisition and onboarding . The Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist will manage recruiting activities throughout the hiring process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume review, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, offers, pre-employment requirements, hiring documentation, and onboarding. This position will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources and hiring managers across both organizations to understand staffing needs, identify qualified candidates, and provide a professional and efficient candidate experience. In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this position will provide support for general Human Resources activities and employee administration as needed. Why Join Munro? Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. Build relationships with candidates, universities, recruiting partners, and other talent sources. Develop broader Human Resources knowledge and experience while maintaining a strong focus on talent acquisition. Help improve recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes as the organizations continue to grow. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruiting activities for Munro & Associates and Munro Defense . Partner with the Director of Human Resources and hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs. Assist hiring managers with developing and updating job descriptions and defining position requirements. Create and post job openings across appropriate recruiting platforms and sourcing channels. Proactively source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, universities, professional networks, and other recruiting resources. Review resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet position requirements. Conduct initial phone and video interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, communication skills, and overall fit. Coordinate interviews between candidates, hiring managers, leadership, and interview teams. Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and interview process. Provide hiring managers with candidate information and assist with moving candidates efficiently through the selection process. Prepare offer letters and other hiring documentation in coordination with the Director of Human Resources. Communicate offers to selected candidates and coordinate the pre-employment process through the employee's start date. Maintain accurate recruiting records, candidate documentation, and applicant tracking information. Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and anticipated hiring needs. Develop relationships with universities, technical schools, professional organizations, recruiting partners, and other talent sources. Assist with career fairs, recruiting events, internship programs, and other talent acquisition initiatives. Track recruiting activity and provide updates regarding open positions, candidate pipelines, interviews, offers, and hiring progress. Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and time-to-fill. Hiring & Onboarding Manage new-hire paperwork and onboarding activities for employees joining both Munro entities. Coordinate completion of required employment documentation and pre-employment requirements. Support completion and maintenance of Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements. Coordinate new-hire orientation schedules and first-day activities. Work with managers and internal departments to ensure equipment, system access, workspace, badges, and other onboarding needs are prepared prior to an employee's start date. Provide new employees with information regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, and onboarding requirements. Track completion of required new-hire documentation, training, and onboarding activities. Maintain organized and accurate employee and recruiting records. Support ongoing improvements to the new-hire experience and onboarding process. Human Resources Support While talent acquisition will be the primary focus of this position, the Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist will also assist the Director of Human Resources with general HR responsibilities, including: Maintain employee records and HR documentation. Assist employees with general HR questions and direct more complex matters to the Director of Human Resources. Support employee benefits administration and enrollment activities. Assist with employee changes, including promotions, compensation changes, transfers, and other personnel updates. Support employee engagement, recognition, training, and company events. Assist with HR reporting, audits, compliance documentation, and recordkeeping. Support performance management and employee development processes as needed. Assist with offboarding activities, including separation documentation and return of company property. Maintain confidentiality of employee, candidate, compensation, and company information. Provide additional HR administrative and operational support as business needs require. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred. 5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate management. Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple open positions and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other recruiting tools. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Knowledge of general employment practices and HR compliance requirements preferred.
