RN - Rehab Float - Varied Shifts

Job Description:

Primary position will be in the Rehab unit; however, the traveler will float to Med/Surg if not needed in Rehab. Renders professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit and carries out orders placed by the provider responsible for the patient's medical care. Ensures comprehensive clinical documentation and patient safety, and participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
• Communicates patient information for continuity and safe care.
• Helps promote a culture of well-being and positive atmosphere.
• Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles.
• Prepares and updates care plans each shift.
• Serves as a preceptor for new nurses and participates in surveys.
• Manages use of Earned Time Off (ETO) per policy.

Requirements:

• Current New Hampshire RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred.
• Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
