Seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support middle school students near scenic western North Carolina! There are two contract positions available, both focused on providing essential services and guidance to learners with diverse needs.
As a Special Education Teacher in this friendly community, you’ll play a key role in fostering students' academic, behavioral, and social success. You’ll work in a supportive environment alongside experienced staff who value collaboration and innovation.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Passion for creating individualized learning strategies
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Differentiating instruction and modifying curriculum to support student growth
- Monitoring progress and maintaining required documentation
- Cultivating a positive classroom environment that fosters inclusion and respect
- Partnering with families and staff to ensure a supportive educational experience
