Role Description The Credentialing Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes, including collecting, verifying, and maintaining accurate documentation for medical staff. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing applications, verifying licensure and certifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and payer requirements, and updating credentialing databases and files. The Credentialing Coordinator will communicate regularly with providers, payers, and internal teams to resolve issues, answer questions, and ensure timely completion of credentialing activities. The role also involves tracking deadlines, preparing reports, and supporting audits or reviews related to credentialing and privileging. Qualifications Strong expertise in Credentialing and Medical Staff Credentialing, including managing applications, verifications, and re-credentialing cycles. Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with providers, payers, and internal stakeholders. Working knowledge of Medical Terminology and healthcare documentation to review and interpret clinical and administrative records. Experience with healthcare databases or credentialing software, and proficiency in common office applications (e.g., MS Office or similar tools). High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of regulatory and payer requirements related to credentialing (e.g., state licensure, board certification, commercial payers, Medicare/Medicaid). Prior experience in healthcare administration, medical staff services, or a similar role is preferred.
