Lead Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. Schedule: Monday 9:00AM-9:30PM, Tuesday-Wednesday 11:00AM-9:30PM, Thursday 11AM- 7:30PM (overtime per business needs) Responsibilities Demonstrate expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments. May provide technical guidance and training to others Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue Makes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation Works with minimal degree of supervision. Has latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines Training new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate Ensuring that safety, productivity and quality standards are met Directly supporting employees in the warehouse across all functions, including: Order processing (accurately picking, checking, sorting, cycle counting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, and loading products) Qualifications Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required 4+ years experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft office preferred Good written communication skills What is expected of you and others at this level Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments May provide technical guidance and training to others Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue Makes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation Adheres to all quality guidelines Works with minimal degree of supervision.
