Senior Embedded Software Engineer

You will be part of a small, high-impact team building flight software at the cutting edge of reliability, safety, and performance. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-driven engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and advancing the state of the art in aerospace. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for avionics throughout the product lifecycleDevelop and maintain ground support software tools and systemsCollaborate cross-functionally to define and deliver new software featuresDocument designs, code, and procedures to ensure maintainability and complianceDebug, optimize, and support software and hardware integration effortsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field4+ years of professional experience in embedded C/C++ development for ARM, SoC, or FPGA softcore platformsHands-on experience with hardware interface programming (timers, interrupts, communication protocols, ADCs, etc.)Proficiency reading schematics and debugging with hardware tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)Experience using version control systems such as GitAbility to work effectively in both independent and collaborative settings, managing multiple prioritiesDesirable Experience: Experience with software development standards such as RTCA DO-178Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and/or other scripting languagesExposure to continuous integration, automated build/test, and hardware-in-the-loop systemsUnderstanding of FPGA development and HDLExperience with RTOS and/or Linux-based embedded systemsFamiliarity with controls engineering (sensors, actuators, and motors)Benefits IncludeUnlimited PTO - Vacation, Sick, Personal, and BereavementPaid maternity/paternity/adoptive leaveMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance; Tax Advantage Accounts (HSA/FSA); Employer Paid Short and Long-Term Disability, Basic Life, AD&D and EAP Program; Additional Benefit Options Including Voluntary Life, Emergency Medical Transport and Pet InsuranceRetirement Savings Plan - Traditional 401(k) and a Roth 401(k)Company stock optionsColorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $125,000 - $155,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
