Financial Controller

Smyrna Yacht Club in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is seeking a Controller to join a historic, member-owned club set on the Indian River. The Controller directs the Club's financial operations and serves as a financial partner to the General Manager and department heads. This hands-on role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, benefits administration, and internal controls, while collaborating closely with an active Finance and Audit Committee. The Controller also serves on the Master Planning and Implementation Committee, which oversees capital improvement projects. A key focus in the first year will be learning the Club's traditions and building trusted relationships with the Finance and Audit Committee, then advancing modernization efforts including ACH and electronic bill payment, expanded member payment options, streamlined payroll processing, and a collaborative budgeting model with department heads.
