Rhino Medical is seeking New York-licensed Physician Assistants for an ongoing Emergency Department travel opportunity supporting a well-established community hospital in upstate New York.

This physician-led Emergency Department offers an outstanding opportunity for both experienced Emergency Medicine PAs and motivated new graduates seeking structured training within a collaborative practice environment. Providers will practice in a modern 21-bed Emergency Department serving approximately 21,000 annual patient visits while working alongside experienced Emergency Medicine physicians in a patient-centered community hospital.

Practice Environment

Practice within a full-service community healthcare organization consisting of a 74-bed acute care hospital and an 84-bed skilled nursing facility dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered emergency care.

The Emergency Department offers a balanced community Emergency Medicine experience supported by attending physicians and an established Advanced Practice Provider model. Providers care for patients across a broad spectrum of emergency presentations while working within a collaborative clinical environment focused on quality, efficiency, and exceptional patient care.

Coverage Model

• Approximately 11–20 APP Coverage Hours Daily
• Primary Coverage Shifts:
  • 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Approximately 40 Shifts Available Beginning September 2026
• Ongoing Scheduling Opportunities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients presenting with acute medical and traumatic conditions
• Perform Emergency Medicine procedures within Physician Assistant scope of practice
• Moderate Sedation competency required for privileging
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians
• Complete documentation within Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, consultants, and ancillary departments

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
• Active New York Physician Assistant License
• Current NCCPA Certification
• DEA Registration with New York Address (Schedules II–V)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• Moderate Sedation Competency
• New Graduates Encouraged to Apply — Training Available
