Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Riverside. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end close activities.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustmentsPerform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesAnalyze financial data and investigate account discrepanciesMaintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation recordsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as neededReconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting schedulesAssist with audit requests and financial reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting proceduresSupport special projects and process improvement initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required2+ years of accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tablesExperience with ERP or accounting software preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with month-end close activitiesBackground in manufacturing, distribution, construction, or service industries is a plusExperience preparing financial reports and reconciliationsWhy Join Us?Opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needsCompetitive compensation based on experienceExposure to a variety of accounting functionsCollaborative and team-oriented work environmentOpportunity for professional growth and advancementPay Range: $26–$33 per hour, based on experience.
