Position Summary

Ayers Insurance is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Producer to grow new business and support retention of existing accounts across personal and commercial lines. The Producer is responsible for building a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects, identifying client needs, presenting appropriate insurance solutions, closing new business, cross-selling additional coverage, and partnering with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) on renewals and account retention. This role represents the agency professionally with clients, prospects, carrier partners, and fellow team members while meeting established individual and agency production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through referrals, networking, community involvement, marketing campaigns, cross-selling, and other approved lead sources.

• Meet or exceed established annual new-business, revenue, and production goals while supporting agency retention objectives.

• Use a consultative sales approach to identify each client’s exposures, coverage needs, budget considerations, and risk-management priorities.

• Prepare and present insurance proposals, explain coverage options and policy terms, address questions, and guide clients through the placement process.

• Quote and place new personal and commercial lines business with appropriate carriers based on underwriting guidelines, client needs, and agency procedures.

• Cross-sell current clients by identifying opportunities for additional lines of coverage and coordinating account rounding efforts.

• Partner with CSRs on renewals, remarketing, coverage changes, retention strategies, and client service needs.

• Review renewal accounts when appropriate, address client concerns, and provide alternative coverage or carrier solutions to retain profitable business.

• Follow up promptly with clients regarding quotes, billing questions, policy changes, exposures, documentation, and other account needs.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete activity notes, documentation, applications, submissions, and follow-up records in agency systems to reduce errors and omissions exposure.

• Maintain productive working relationships with carrier representatives and stay current on carrier appetites, underwriting requirements, products, coverage changes, and industry developments.

• Participate in agency marketing initiatives, networking opportunities, seminars, carrier meetings, training programs, and continuing education activities.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of agency goals.

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida Property & Casualty insurance license in good standing.

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant insurance and/or consultative sales experience.

• Proven track record of developing business, meeting sales goals, and building long-term client relationships.

• Strong knowledge of personal and/or commercial Property & Casualty insurance products, coverage concepts, billing, eligibility provisions, and underwriting considerations.

• Ability to explain policy terms, coverage options, exclusions, deductibles, and pricing in a clear and professional manner.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, follow-up, time-management, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently follow agency workflows and documentation standards.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proficiency with AMS360, AgencyZoom, PL Rating, or comparable agency management, CRM, and rating systems.

• Commitment to complying with applicable insurance laws, regulations, licensing requirements, carrier guidelines, and agency procedures.

• Commitment to continuous learning and completion of required continuing education (CE).

Salary Grade 3: $45,000 - $65,000 Base, Commission & New Business Incentives
