Personal Banker Associate II - Schaumburg West - Full Time

Overview Selected candidates are intended to become a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4-8 week on-boarding and education program that includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. A certification will be awarded at the conclusion of the program to demonstrate skills for a role within the Retail Personal Banker job family. The Retail Personal Banker II is a sales position focused on sales development and relationship building through promotion of deposits, loans, fee-based services and customer retention. Use consultative sales and service processes, interact with staff for referrals, and adhere to policies and procedures to manage risk and protect customers and colleagues. Within the Bank's risk appetite, identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks to drive positive customer experiences while meeting performance goals. Location: Schaumburg, Illinois. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs. Maintain in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions using the value proposition. Utilize CAMP and other approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews. Focus on cross-selling to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities (e.g., Membership Advantage onsite presentations, business sales calls, community financial literacy events) as directed. Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) and refer customers to provide timely, holistic financial solutions. Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals; contribute to year-over-year revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&L. Provide guidance to CSRs on the sales and referral process. Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, professional demeanor; own customer issues and respond confidently to questions. Maintain confidentiality of business information and adhere to Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies. Follow established policies and procedures while opening/servicing the full range of Retail products. Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard process, owning sourced loans from application through closing. Participate in the opening/closing process of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Financial Center Manager. Stay up to date on Retail procedures to mitigate fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills or a combination of education and experience. Experience in the financial industry preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers. Ability to analyze credit and financial information using advanced math functions. Professional representation of Fifth Third Bank in appearance and verbal/written communication. Working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures to exercise sound judgment. S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS); MU4R questions and registration are required for employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment. Extended viewing of computer screens. Travel within the affiliate for training and varying schedules; travel outside the affiliate for classroom training sessions. Compensation and Benefits Total Base Pay Range: 43,680.00 - 69,900.00 USD annually. The base salary is reflective of salary ranges across the U.S. and varies by factors such as role, skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
