Data Engineer

Data Engineering Support
Duration: 6+ months Location: On-site 3-4 days/week in Charlotte, NC | Addison, TX U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor or transfer visas at this time. No Vendors/3rd parties.
Support production data applications with a focus on platform stability, application governance, incident resolution, and operational excellence. Apply Python and Apache Spark expertise to troubleshoot complex data environments, deliver production fixes, and improve data-processing performance. Contribute to strategic initiatives based on business priorities and platform capacity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Hands-on Python experience.
- Hands-on Apache Spark experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for data applications and platforms.
- Monitor batch jobs, workflows, incidents, and service-level agreement (SLA) commitments.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues.
- Implement production fixes, enhancements, and preventive measures.
- Support application governance, audits, operational controls, compliance, and documentation.
- Optimize data-processing jobs and queries for performance and scalability
