The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our facilities team in the role of General Maintenance.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Delivers packages, packaged goods, furniture, etc...to various locations.Performs general maintenance, including but not restricted to:Changing light bulbs/ballastReplacing ceiling tileMaking minor plumbing repairsReplacing, repairing, and assisting in the installation of carpet, floor tile, and vinyl sheet goods.Assembling and maintaining furniture, equipment, and fixtures both indoors and outdoorsInstalling and/or replacing useable goods dispensersMinor repairs to windows including screens, locks, and glass.Assist in setting and breaking special eventsCarries on call pager in rotation with other maintenance personnelCleans snow from assigned areasGrounds work as directed by managerPainting duties as directed by manager Qualifications include:The successful candidate must have:High school diploma and/or GED, and four years general maintenance experience in an institutional/industrial setting.To apply for this position, please upload a cover letter and resume online at Start date is negotiable.Clarke University is committed to fostering a welcoming campus community that celebrates the unique contributions of each person and promotes an inclusive learning environment.
