Job Title – Mechanical Engineering Technician

Location – 120 South State College Boulevard, Brea, CA, 92821

Duration – 12 months contract

Pay Range – $28 - $35 USD hourly on W2

Shift – 1st Shift, M-Fri, 7:00AM - 3:30PM / 2nd Shift, M-Fri, 01:30PM – 10:00PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Development Technician to support laboratory testing, prototype development, and technical activities. This role works closely with engineers and project teams to execute testing, document results, and support product development in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform technical testing and follow established test procedures and protocols.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain laboratory and engineering data.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, drawings, flowcharts, and documentation.
• Support engineers with prototype processes, test setups, and equipment qualifications.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and lab safety activities.
• Handle test samples and chemicals according to established procedures.
• Document and communicate test results and project observations.
• Support cross-functional teams and train lower-level technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma with 4–6 years of laboratory or regulated technician experience,  or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field with 1–2 years of lab/R&D experience.
• Experience following written procedures and conducting technical testing.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Proficiency with computers and basic data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine technical issues and work with laboratory equipment.
