Paramedic Supervisor
MED-Star Paramedic Ambulance
Job Description
MedStar Ambulance is looking for Paramedic Supervisor to join our team for both 911 response and interfacility transport—local and long-distance. This is a full-time salaried position responsible for overseeing shift personnel, mentoring staff, and responding to calls.
Responsibilities include
- Supervision of EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses.
- Monitor ambulance readiness and coordinate routine maintenance, equipment checks and supplies.
- Coordinate with Med-Star dispatch regarding calls and transfer requests.
- Assist with quality improvement, staff education and training, and scheduling support.
- Schedule would include on shift and call time.

- Convenient Response Requirements: On-call employees must remain within 20 minutes of the station
Qualifications
- Current Nationally Registered Paramedic
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners (we can assist with obtaining SD licensure)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or equivalents)
- CCP certification is a plus
- Clean driving record
