Facilities Maintenance Manager – S&G Stores Location: Toledo, OH & Surrounding Area (HQ: Sylvania, OH) Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 / year + Performance Bonus Potential Job Type: Full-Time

Headquartered in the Toledo metro area, S&G has scaled to 85+ locations under the S&G Stores and Stop & Go banners and was recognized on the CSP Daily News Top 202 Convenience Stores list. With a aggressive plan to expand to 150 stores by 2030 through new builds and active acquisitions, we need a proactive facilities leader to ensure our store locations, fuel systems, and refrigeration equipment operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Site Maintenance Oversight: Direct and manage preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance across 85+ c-stores, fuel dispensing systems, and commercial refrigeration setups.
  

• Vendor & Contractor Management: Select, negotiate with, and hold accountable third-party contractors (HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, fuel systems, and general contracting) to ensure high work quality and fair pricing.
  

• Work Order & Budget Control: Oversee maintenance ticket systems, prioritize urgent repairs, control capital expenditure (CapEx) and operating expenditure (OpEx) budgets, and minimize store downtime.
  

• Acquisition & Remodel Support: Conduct facility condition assessments for new store acquisitions and manage facility integrations, equipment retrofits, and store upgrades.
  

• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, EPA, and OSHA regulations, including underground storage tank (UST) and fuel system compliance requirements.
  

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of multi-unit facilities management experience in convenience stores, Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), grocery, or retail petroleum environments.
  

• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, store fixtures, and retail fuel dispensing systems/compliance.
  

• Vendor & Project Leadership: Proven ability to manage work order systems, negotiate vendor contracts, and lead facility projects across scattered regional sites.
  

• Requirements: Strong organizational skills, a hands-on problem-solving mindset, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel daily within the Toledo metro area, Northwest Ohio, and Southeast Michigan.
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Pay: $85,000 – $95,000 / year
