JOB SUMMARY

The rehabilitation aide carries out assigned tasks for direct and indirect patient care activities. Assists licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapy assistants, and students in all aspects of treatment in order to maximize each patient's functional ability. The aide is assigned tasks by occupational or physical therapists and works under their supervision for patient care activities. The rehab aide works on all medical units, in the department, and in hand therapy clinic when assigned. Assigned tasks include direct patient care, cleaning, clerical, supply maintenance, and other activities. The rehab aide participates in department and unit projects when assigned and takes required in-service education programs. May assist with other clerical duties as assigned.

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

* Carries out indirect patient care tasks effectively, maintaining equipment, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly, stocking supplies, and completing computer tasks.
* Confers with the therapist when appropriate for guidance and clarification of patient care tasks, informs supervising therapist of changes in patient status.
* Coordinates care of patient with rehab staff.
* Maintains Department productivity.
* Works effectively with a wide range of patients in respect to age and cultural diversity.
* Utilizes appropriate Department resources, clinical specialists, resource therapist and supervisors when appropriate for guidance and /or assistance with patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

License/Certification:

• Basic Life Support by American Heart Association (AHA)
• or
• RQI Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $34.93 to $39.62
