As a Maintenance Manager, you will transform workplace environments by leading maintenance operations across your site and developing the next generation of maintenance leaders. In this critical role, you'll oversee Area Maintenance Managers and their teams, develop strategic maintenance programs, and drive operational excellence across multiple functional areas. You will blend strategic planning, financial management, and leadership development while navigating between managing preventative maintenance programs, coordinating with operations teams, and responding to emergencies that require quick, decisive action. You'll balance proactive planning with real-time problem resolution while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. Key Job Responsibilities Provide leadership and mentorship to Area Maintenance Managers and their teams of service technicians and automation engineers, fostering professional growth and performance Develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, manage department budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures across all operational sites while partnering with site Safety leadership to implement and audit safety programs Manage capital spending plans, facilitate cross‑functional project planning, perform cost analysis, and coordinate external contractors while maintaining high‑quality service standards Travel domestically up to 15% to support network‑level initiatives and provide guidance across multiple sites About the Team This position operates on a flexible night shift schedule between 04:00 PM to 04:00 AM based on site needs to support our 24/7 operations and ensure seamless service delivery to our customers and partners across all time zones. The night shift schedule is a fundamental requirement of this role. We recognize that night shift work requires dedication and commitment, and we are looking for candidates who are prepared to embrace this schedule long‑term. Successful candidates must be able to reliably work these hours and understand that shift flexibility is not available for this position. Basic Qualifications Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience 4+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience 4+ years of managing department spend and labor budgets, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing continuous improvement (CI) experience 4+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience 4+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience Preferred Qualifications Experience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics Benefits Amazon offers competitive compensation packages including comprehensive healthcare benefits starting on Day 1, a matching 401(k) program, and up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
