Nurse - Telemetry Schedule
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 48.00 Requirements
- New York State nursing license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of current nursing experience
- NIH Stroke Certification required before start
- Strong IV skills and confident working with cardiac drips
- Experience in reading EKG strips and wound care
- Travel experience preferred Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and EKG readings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
- Float to medical-surgical units as required. Compliance / Notes
- Every other weekend and holiday shifts required.
- Additional 8 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) will need to be completed as part of facility orientation.
- Flu vaccine or declination accepted.
- Masks required if declining the flu vaccine.
