Job Description
The QA Supervisor leads quality assurance initiatives in a food and beverage manufacturing environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance. This hands-on role oversees a small quality team, manages audits and documentation, supports food safety programs, and partners closely with operations to drive continuous improvement across the facility.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of two Quality Technicians to ensure consistent execution of quality and food safety programs.
- Maintain, improve, and standardize quality systems, procedures, and documentation to support reliable and repeatable processes.
- Plan and lead internal quality audits and support external customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the facility.
- Assist with food safety and safety initiatives across the plant, promoting a strong culture of food safety and workplace safety.
- Investigate quality concerns, nonconformances, and customer complaints, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Review production records, product specifications, and quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Partner closely with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to maintain product quality standards and resolve issues in real time.
- Monitor compliance with SQF and other food safety programs, ensuring adherence to certification and customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and introduce new ideas, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide hands-on support on the production floor, verifying that quality and food safety procedures are followed consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- SQF experience preferred, including supporting or maintaining SQF certification.
- Experience supporting SQF or FSSC certified facilities is a plus.
- Experience in food and beverage production management or quality management roles.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement and best practices in quality assurance.
- Strong documentation, recordkeeping, and auditing skills.
- Ability to introduce and champion new ideas to enhance quality systems and processes.

Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume food and beverage production facility with a climate-controlled environment. The position is highly hands-on and requires frequent presence on the production floor rather than being confined to a laboratory setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
