Preston Place Care Homes Locations: Dallas, TX - Onsite at 3 separate assisted living care homes
Address: 6946 Forest Ln 75230, 7541 Royal Pl 75230 and 7038 Lattimore Dr 75252.
Shift: 5 days a week
Job Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours a week

About Preston Place Care Homes

Preston Place is composed of 3 residential care homes in close proximity to each other. Each home cares for 6-8 residents each. We provide care for all of residents daily needs along with providing musical entertainment and regular stimulating activities. We are seeking an Life Engagement to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Life Engagement Associate, you will impact the lives of our members and residents through leading daily enriching activities. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others!

What You'll Do:

• Develop, plan, and implement social, recreational, spiritual, and educational activities for residents.
• Encourage and assist residents in participating in activities, taking an active role personally.
• Facilitate parties, games, crafts and fun events
• Develope activities calendar
• Manage activity supplies, ensuring orderliness and cleanliness of activity areas.
• Participate in Resident Council and encourage resident leadership.
• Efficiently manage program resources and provide budgetary information to management

Activities:

Coordinate and follow a calendar of activities based on identified recreational resident needs. Arrange, schedule and supervise these activities. Physically transport residents to/from activity room as required. Activities possibly to include games, parties, reading, puzzles, hobbies, needlework, gardening, group discussions, crafts, art and other forms of recreation. Also included is seasonal decorating of the homes. Stated activities do not reflect a comprehensive listing of activities.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.
• Must meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Has a minimum of one (1) year prior related experience in social or recreational programming in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or
• Has successfully completed an activity director training course approved by the National Certification Council for Activity.
• Minimum one-year related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of how to plan and implement community service programs.
• A friendly attitude and a servant's heart.
