Provides clinical leadership for specified program. As a member of the treatment team(s) of the program, is responsible for providing a broad range of treatment and case management functions for the population served. Provides clinical program coordination.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

2. Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
4. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas
EXPERIENCE:
1. Three (3) years' nursing experience.

CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Provides direct clinical supervision to all unit clinical staff in a specified program
2. Assesses competency of clinical staff through observation and testing techniques.
3. Assists clinical staff in developing required competencies.
4. Gives input to leader on performance reviews of the unit staff.
5. Develops and maintains a dynamic clinical program based on best practice.
6. Participates as clinical personnel on a treatment unit and facilitates therapeutic milieu on the unit.
7. Assess patient needs, including assessing for high-risk indicators and documents history/assessment in a manner that is clinically pertinent to the individual patient.
8. Participates as an integral professional member of an interdisciplinary treatment team led by a psychiatrist.
9. Provides direct clinical assessment and intervention services to individuals, groups and families.
10. Performs discharge planning as developed with the treatment team from day of admission as needed.
11. Participates in treatment planning sessions and assists treatment team by coordinating planning effort.
12. Acts as liaison for hospitalized patients and their families to various community agencies, hospital consultants and services.
13. Records and charts daily patient contacts as required by hospital policy.
14. Assists in quality reviews of program as assigned.
15. Assists in maintaining regulatory compliance of the program.
16. Maintains appropriate certification, licensure and competency through supervision and/or training and successful completion of annual performance evaluations.
17. Attends continuing education seminars and in-services as necessary to maintain professional licensure, competency, and satisfy hospital required education standards.
18. Provides training of staff on various issues and topics relevant to the specific patient population.

All transfers, lifts and re-positioning will be completed utilizing the lift equipment and/or other patient handling aids as indicated by the patient's profile and appropriate algorithms.
2. Heavy/Hard work: Work requires strength and/or stamina, lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying of materials and equipment weighing 40+lbs.
3. Visual acuity must be within normal range.
4. Hearing within normal range is required (i.e. to assess breath sounds, bowel sounds, apical pulse, monitors, etc.)
