Job Description

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join its perioperative team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a critical access hospital where your skills and contributions directly impact patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in multiple perioperative roles, including circulating and scrubbing, while providing high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in pre-op, intraoperative, and PACU settings
• Function as a Circulator and Scrub Nurse to support surgical procedures
• Maintain patient safety and quality standards throughout the surgical process
• Participate in surgical safety protocols, including time-outs and accurate documentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment

Requirements

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Vermont RN License or Compact/Multi-State RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively in multiple perioperative roles
