Part Time Retail Sales Associate

Cox Communications is looking for a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate who creates those experiences; someone who connects easily with others and can drive sales while making customers feel special. This role allows you to connect customers with Cox's game-changing technology, products, and services. This job requires you to follow the retail routine of working some evenings, weekends, and holidays. You'll also need to be comfortable with reporting to your Store Manager, as well as taking guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and other team Specialists. What You'll Do Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs. Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention. Assist with opening and closing of the retail store. Properly handle cash. Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos. Support fellow sales agents when needed. Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training. May be required to work in other locations within the same geographic area. What's In It For You? Variable targeted total compensation of $33,575 ($22.26 hourly) with a base hourly rate of at least $17.18/hr and a targeted commission of $639/month. The total may vary by location, experience, and sales targets. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience. Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative, solutions‑based selling. Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced team environment. Ability to remain mobile within the store for long periods. Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products and services. Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays. Ability to lift 25–50 pounds for stock room inventory. Preferred Qualifications: Some college experience focused on sales, business, or management. One year of experience in a related field (e.g., sales, retail, or service industry). Experience selling wireless/mobile products. Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken. Compensation Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.29 – $22.88 per hour, varying by location and experience. The role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $7,674.
